Jonathan Broom and his wife Deborah have put their lives on hold, as he follows his dream of a miniature, lavish Hollywood Hills-style mansion. They purchase a small piece of land in North London, but it's fraught with problems, and the only way they can build their ambitious family home, with nanny flat and swimming pool, is by putting half of it six metres below ground.
