Nate Ford is an insurance investigator with a sterling record of recovering stolen goods for his employer. When his firm denies health-insurance claims for his dying son, however, Hutton turns his back on the corporate world and goes freelance, working first for an aeronautics executive to recover stolen airplane designs.

The series follows a team of thieves, hackers and grifters who act as modern-day Robin Hoods, taking revenge against those who use power and wealth to victimize others.
