It's Danny's 30th birthday, so Jesse takes Danny's car "Bullet" to be fitted for the seat covers that Jesse and Joey plan to buy as a gift for Danny. On the way home with Bullet, Jesse accidentally sends Bullet into the bay. Of course, Danny is shocked by this. Later, Jesse and Joey go to a car dealership that happens to have a duplicate of Bullet. As Jesse and Joey name the amount of money that they are willing to pay for the car, someone calls the dealership and bids higher than Jesse and Joey. The Bidding goes back and forth until Jesse and Joey bid too high for the person who is on the phone, and Jesse and Joey buy the car for Danny. As it turns out, Danny was the guy who was on the phone, bidding against Jesse and Joey.

The Germans arrest Renandeacute;, and the Colonel demands an explanation for the knockwursts with explosives in them. After a small lie, Renandeacute; is sent home with around a dozen knockwursts to hang in his kitchen.
The British have sent a spy camera with which the Randeacute;sistance should be able to photograph the plans for the German invasion of Great Britain, but the camera landed in the vineyard of Monsieur Alphonseandacute;s, and since the Germans commendeered the vineyard, the Randeacute;sistance cannot go and look for the camera.
This problem is solved when the General orders every peasant in Nouvion to work on the vineyard, which also leaves room for some assassination attempts on the Generalandacute;s life.

Sophie Bennod suffers verbal abuse from her wheelchair bound disabled husband, Tom and when he accidentally sets fire to the bathroom curtains, he deliberately burns himself. She accompanies him to the hospital where his burns are found not to be serious but he has to stay in for a couple of days. She decides she had enough and tells Dr Mary Thominson she's leaving him but is persuaded to speak to Tom first. He is devastated and tells her he loves her, as she walks out of his life, for good.
