Chief of War Show Summary

At the turn of the 19th century the four major kingdoms of the Hawaiian Islands were in a state of war. The series follows Ka'iana, a warrior chief of Kaua'i who travelled outside of the islands as the 'most famous Hawaiian in the world', returns home and embarks on a monumental mission to unite his people. At the last minute, he rebels against the unification of Hawai'i that took place from 1782 to 1810 under Kamehameha I - as an existential threat approaches their shores.
