Janet and Rachel are called in to investigate the case of a pregnant girl who washuged whilst she was in her bedroom. Rachel's love life ends up taking a turn for the worse, Janet receives a telephone call that ends up reawakening a past tragedy.

Janet ends up reopening the investigation into the passing of a childhood friend called Veronica. Rachel's personal life becomes even more complicated. After a teenage cuddleer is charged, horrific events begin to unravel following the arrest.

Rachel ends up discovering the next day that the crash is linked to the disturbing information she discovered about Nick's affair with a juror. Janet to leads the latest case for the team after a young boy, shot dead in his lounge. Rachel's career ends up hanging in the balance after Gill finds out just how far Rachel has gone in pursuit of love.
