Stephen Colbert, the host, writer and executive producer of the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning "The Colbert Report", succeeds David Letterman as the host of "The Late Show". Stephen has been given near-full control of the show, with little interference from CBS management in regard to format.
Colbert will be bringing most of his staff from "The Colbert Report" with him to "Late Show", as well as outsiders such as Brian Stack, who is best known for his work on Conan O'Brien's programs. Jonathan Batiste and the "Stay Human" band joins "The Late Show" as the show's house band.
