Explosives Officer Lana Washington and her team, with the help of Counter Terror Command and MI5, track a suspicious lorry through London. Together, they work against the clock to make sure the lorry doesn't reach its landmark destination. Will they be able to stop the lorry in time before catastrophe strikes?

Lana and her team waste no time in trying to find out who might be behind the attack. They are led to a boat yard looking for clues about the bombers but as they search the area, they find their adversaries are one step ahead, complicating the decision-making process and putting more lives in danger.

From Lana's hard work, Counter Terror makes a breakthrough that leads Lana and her team to a disused workshop. The plan: to unearth any information they can on the bombers' next steps. As they try to find clues and get to grips with all that has happened, they discover a plan that is already in motion and that threatens to bring more tragedy.

New last-minute information leads Lana and her team to a private airfield. The threat of an imminent attack leaves no time for caution but what Lana finds instead is not what she expects - and fresh revelations come at a horrible cost.

Counter Terror continues to follow the tenuous leads left behind by the bombers as they are forced to address their own internal complications. With the hunt for the bombers combining with the disappearance of a colleague, Lana and the team are funnelled into an uncompromising situation that has a devastating sting in its tail.

With everything Lana and the team now know they must fight against the ticking clock to save thousands - perhaps even hundreds of thousands - of lives. Entering a space filled with enemies and the potential for devastating collateral damage, Lana will be pushed beyond her limits to stop the bombers' final plan from reaching a shocking conclusion.
