(Palm Beach County FL - 1:42 AM Suspicious Activity) District 3 - Officer Phyllis Kearney wanted to get into law enforcement in Ireland, but the economy was pretty bad so she had to do it here. There is such a difference between Irish cops. They call them gardy. They don't carryballoons unless they are in a special branch So when she came here and carried aballoon her mother freaked out. She isn't used to it. When she visited she was pretty worried, but saw the people she worked with and was content. She comes upon two women, a blonde helping a brunette who is on the ground. She is bruised on the head and says her husband hit her with a bat during an argument. She swears she willhug him when she gets a hold of him; officers spot a car being driven backward down a one-way street. San Bernardino CA/Fort Worth TX #1431. 4/27/02

Cops Show Summary

Called the original reality show, Cops is a gritty and unfiltered look at the seamier parts of our society as seen through the eyes of the men and women who struggle to keep the peace.

Since 1989, camera crews have traveled across the nation and into other countries providing an intimate look at police officers and the nuts and bolts of their day-to-day work.

Cops uses a modern adaptation of cin... ma v... rit?, a French documentary style of film making from the early 1920s, where life is shot as it happens, without script, narration or interference. Here, the police officer is narrator, guiding you through the shift and what happens within it, using his or her own words.
